You cannot serve two masters

No man can serve two masters

Good morning, family. The bible verse of the day is in Matthew 6:24. And it reads, No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Here are my thoughts: Mammon refers to wealth and worldly possession. No one can serve two masters because there will come a time when they will make opposing demands. You’ll be keen to be loyal one over the other.

I will leave you with a thought and, that is: Think about the weight of investing your future with Jesus by giving yourself to Him. Think of building heavenly treasures that are forever versus earthly treasures that come to nothing.

Have a blessed day.

We cannot be pleasing to God with our flesh and spirit together. Apostle Paul writes in Romans 1:9 that he serves God with his spirit.
