The history of Abundant Streams, Fail proof
The History
The concept was where the history started. The topic of blogging was initially brought up in 2016. At that point, I had no idea how to run a website or even about blogging. I had no idea where to start because I was unfamiliar with this world. All I knew was that I had something, or rather, someone, named Jesus Christ, that I wanted to share with the world. Although I was certain that I wanted to share Christ, I was hesitant to use the blogging platform. I was terrified of not succeeding. I was concerned that I wouldn’t know what I was doing and would ruin the entire situation. So, I considered the possibility that my fear of the unknown prevented me from being able to do this task. I lived the remainder of that year in fear, never again bringing up the topic of blogging.
As we move quickly forward into the new year of 2017, I still wasn’t thinking about blogging. Early in 2017, as I was going about my day, the scripture started to deeply resonate with me. I was reminded that I can accomplish this through Christ. It’s okay as long as He accompanied me on the journey. I was inspired at that very moment to know I wasn’t doing this alone. With Christ as my Lord, I can accomplish this.
The history of brainstorming
I took a pen and paper from that encouraging spot and settled down on our apartment’s living room floor, ready to come up with ideas. My spouse has heard me mention a few names; some he liked, some not so much. During the brainstorming process, Abundant Streams become apparent to me. This one was well-liked by my spouse. Even though I kept coming up with ideas, it seemed as though I was abruptly done. The scripture and the message of Abundant Streams are heavy on my heart, and I feel as though they were already inscribed there. I couldn’t help but fall in love with Abundant Streams. And I stopped brainstorming since it seemed like everything had been planned out from the start.
I would thereafter embark on a blog journey, starting with brainstorming. I had to get my bearings when it came to running a website and writing, but for the longest time I enjoyed the process.
Listen, I was no longer terrified, as I believed that I wasn’t alone myself.
My spouse was the only person I told when I initially started down this path. I had no desire to share that aspect of myself with anyone else who was close to me. I was find promoting the name of Christ while remaining in the background. There was no desire to pay for advertisements in order to reach a wider audience. I wasn’t even thinking about having followers or following other people. The message of Jesus Christ was central to everything. Indeed, I expressed Christ through social media — naturally, that is.
Our future
I observe how individuals use their quote Christian platform (website or social media) to criticize people directly or indirectly because they are in their feelings. I do think that the prevention of contamination, which started with the name of Jesus Christ, should continue.
The reason I entered Abundant Streams was because of the witness of Jesus’ name, and it always will be. That being said, the goal of Abundant Streams going forward is to keep inspiring people to set aside time each day, from the sun’s rise to its set, for God.
