Praying In Faith | How To Ask In Faith

Ask in faith

Happy Sunday, family, the bible verse of the week – 3/14/2021 is in James 1:6. The message of the week is about whatever your prayer request, ask in faith. That is praying in faith, according to the word of God.

One of the reasons why prayers go unanswered is because of a lack of faith in God. That is when you doubt God and cannot believe that God can perform the thing that you requested of him.

  • Doubting – is expressing or feeling uncertainty or lack of conviction; skeptical.

That is when you’re divided in your mind and do not fully trust God.

  • Double-minded – wavering in mind: undecided.

Your mind is on God, while on the other hand, it’s on this world.

Praying in faith

Doubting God

  • You debate if God will grant you your request.
  • You question God’s ability and can not process that God can and will make it possible.
  • Impatience. Rather than waiting on the Lord, you try to accomplish your request outside the will of God.
  • Unbelief. You do not trust God.

Trust in the Lord

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6.

Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Mark 11:24.

I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. 1 Timothy 2:8.

My friend, if you want God to answer your prayers, you need to come to God with a heart that trusts in him. If you don’t believe, God will not answer your prayers.

For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways. James 1:7-8.

Praying in faith

Here is a guide to help you with your request when you come before God in prayer.

  • Ask in faith
  • Believe you have received what you pray and ask God for
  • Praise the Lord and give Him thanks. When your heart; is stationed on praising God and giving thanks, you’re less likely to be in doubt.
  • One more thing: Pray within God’s will per his word. Sometimes prayers go unanswered because you asked for the wrong thing and the wrong reason.

Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. James 4:3.
