Make A Joyful Noise | Let Us Rejoice In The Lord

Make a joyful noise

Happy Resurrection Sunday, family, the bible verse of the week – 4/4/2021 is in Psalm 95:2. The message of the week is to make a joyful noise.

Today as Christians, we rejoice in celebrating the resurrected life of our wonderful Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Just a couple of days ago, the Lord had placed a melody on my heart and, it goes as such: I have a reason to be thankful, Lord, you have given me a reason to give thanks.

As believers in Christ, we have so many reasons why we should praise Him and give thanks; we are without excuse. Him alone is worthy and deserving of all the honor and all the glory.

The bible tells us when Jesus (at the time he was on the cross) gave up the ghost that the veil in the temple split in two from top to bottom.

Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent. Matthew 27:50-51.

I’ve learned that the temple had two veils, one in front of the holy place and the other separating the holy place; from the Most Holy Place. The veil of the Most Holy Place was split from top to bottom.

There were a time when only the high priest was allowed into the Most Holy Place. Preparations were made before he could enter the presence of God while the people stood outside the courtyard.

Make a joyful noise

The veil is torn

As a result of the finished work on the cross, the rented veil represents a demonstration of Almighty God opening up access to Himself through his Son, Jesus Christ. Our bodies change into the holy of holies when the Holy Spirit comes to live in each Christian at baptism. That is when we first believe. It is through the sacrifice of Christ; that his righteousness is a credit to us through the gift of grace. We are saved, by the grace of God. Hence our hope of salvation and eternal life in heaven with Jesus Christ.

For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us. Ephesians 2:14.

Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which entereth into that within the veil. Hebrews 6:19.

Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

And having an high priest over the house of God;

Let us draw near with a true heart in the full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Hebrews 10:19-22.

As Christians, we do not have to stand in the courtyard as bystanders. Because of the abundant mercy and grace of God, we can draw near His presence with a true heart in the full assurance of faith.

Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. Psalms 95:2.

Give God thanks

  • Jesus saved us from the penalty of sin
  • Our hope of salvation is anchor through faith in Jesus Christ
  • God has extended his goodness toward us all
  • We are sons and daughters of Almighty God
  • Our heavenly Father, he is our provider, our protector, our defender
  • The Lord is our help and support in time of need
  • He is our counselor, our peace, our security
  • The Lord is our leader, our redeemer, our savior

There are so many reasons to give God thanks, and the list goes on and on. Christ is our everything, and everything is in Jesus Christ.
