Faith in God

Happy Sunday, family, the bible verse of the week – 3/7/2021 is in James 1:2-3. The message is about having faith in God, even in the middle of your trials.

Temptations or trials such as conflicts and suffering are something all believers go through. You are not alone; God is with you. Though the experience may be unpleasant, the scriptures encourage us to rejoice.

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 1 Corinthians 10:13.
Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. Matthew 5:12.

The testing you face can be viewed as a tool to strengthen and purify your faith in the Lord, thus producing patience in you. It is not to destroy or afflict you but rather to purge you and bring you to a place of spiritual maturity.

In Genesis 22:1-8, Abraham’s faith in God; is put to the test, and he did not stagger. The scripture tells us that Abraham did not stumble at the promises of God through unbelief but was strong in faith, giving glory to God. Romans 4:20.

Walk by faith

My friend, as a Christian, you must walk the walk by faith. Our Salvation is anchored; through faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Here are a few encouraging bible verses to help overcome the trials believers in Christ face daily.

Rejoice amid your trials and tribulations giving, glory to God.

Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:6-7.
But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. 1 Peter 4:13,16.

In your rejoicing, your faith in God will strengthen.

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. 2 Corinthians 12:10.

And as a result, faith works patience. HOPE is alive in you.

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also; knowing that tribulation worketh patience. Romans 5:3.
