Then hear thou in heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause. 1 Kings 8:45.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14.

Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting. Matthew 17:21.

Verses about prayer

Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency. 1 Corinthians 7:5.

For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. 1 Corinthians 14:14.

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. Ephesians 6:18.

Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy. Philippians 1:4.

For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:19.

Scriptures on prayer

And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he hath committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. James 5:15.

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16.

Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honor unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered. 1 Peter 3:7.

For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. 1 Peter 3:12.

But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. 1 Peter 4:7.
