Bible verses about repentance – Repent and believe the gospel.

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Numbers 23:19.

Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes. Job 42:6.

Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God; Repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations. Ezekiel 14:6.

Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord God. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin. Ezekiel 18:30.

Repentance

Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance. Matthew 3:8.

I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire. Matthew 3:11.

John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. Mark 1:4.

When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick, I can no to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Mark 2:17.

And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. Luke 24:47.

When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life. Acts 11:18.

Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and long-suffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? Romans 2:4.

For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. 2 Corinthians 7:10.

In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledgment of the truth. 2 Timothy 2:25.

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrines of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God. Hebrews 6:1.

If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. Hebrews 6:6.

For ye know how that afterwards, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears. Hebrews 12:17.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9.

Repentance in the bible

And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. Genesis 6:6.

I hearkened and heard, but they spake not aright: no man repented him of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? every one turned to his course, as the horse rusheth into the battle. Jeremiah 8:6.

Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote upon my thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth. Jeremiah 31:19.

The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented, at the preaching of Jonah; and, behold, a greater than Jonah is here. Matthew 12:41.
