Bible verses long-suffering – Suffer means to put up with, to bear and Long means for a long time. Patient is the same thing as long-suffering.

The Lord is long-suffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation. Numbers 14:18.

But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, long-suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth. Psalm 86:15.

By pureness, by knowledge, by long-suffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned. 2 Corinthians 6:6.
