The Author And Finisher Of Our Faith, Jesus Christ

The author of our faith

Happy Sunday, family, the bible verse of the week – 2/28/2021 is in Romans 1:17. The message is identifying who is the author of our faith.

The bible says faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17. The author of our faith is in Jesus Christ.

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2.

It is by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ that we’re all saved unto salvation. God saves us from the penalty of sin. God keeps us by his power through faith in him. The Lord protects us from the power of sin and helps us live righteously. Faith unto salvation and faith that proceed salvation to live a holy and righteous life.

Like Abraham, let us not be weak in faith as we live our day-to-day. Stand firm on the promises of God and trust that he can perform what he says he will do in due timing.

People with faith in the bible

My friend here is a handful of persons who exemplify great faith in the bible. I hope their faith is encouraging and helps you walk by faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Abraham

And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness. Genesis 15:6.

He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God.

And being fully persuaded, that what he promised, he was able to perform. Romans 4:20-21.

The Centurion

The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

When Jesus heard it, he marveled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. Matthew 8:8,10.

The Woman With An Issue Of Blood

And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:

For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.

But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour. Matthew 9:20-22.
