The Ultimate Vision of Abundant Streams | Holiness

The Desire for God
The desire to know someone signifies a longing to understand them, to see them as they are, and to experience a relationship with them. This yearning comes from the heart, growing into a hunger that cannot be satisfied by anything else. The Bible declares:
“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” (Matthew 5:6, KJV)
Just as the body craves food for sustenance, the soul must hunger and thirst for God. To be filled with His presence, one must pursue Him wholeheartedly. This hunger is what drives us into His Word, where life is sustained by Him alone.
The Pursuit of God
Desire alone is not enough; it must lead to pursuit. King David was described as a man after God’s own heart (Acts 13:22). His longing for God led him to seek Him fervently. Similarly, when you’re hungry, you don’t just acknowledge it—you take action. You prepare a meal, engaging in the process of satisfying that hunger.
Likewise, pursuing God requires action. Opening the Bible and meditating on His Word nourishes the spirit. As we read and study, God reveals Himself to us:
“Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.” (James 4:8, KJV)
The pursuit of God leads to transformation. The engrafted Word saves souls, shapes character, and aligns lives with His perfect will.
Developing Love and Respect
As you pursue God, you will discover that He is unlike anyone you have ever encountered. His love is unfailing, His faithfulness unshakable. The more you learn of Him, the deeper your love grows. Just as a well-prepared meal is so satisfying that you go back for more, experiencing God’s presence leaves you wanting more of Him:
“O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.” (Psalm 34:8, KJV)
God fills you with His love, His Spirit, and His goodness. He empties you of everything that is not like Him and replaces it with His divine nature. The love of Christ transforms lives, making them whole.
Walking in Faith and Obedience
Love leads to obedience. Jesus said:
“If ye love me, keep my commandments.” (John 14:15, KJV)
When you love someone, you desire to please them. Walking in obedience to God is an expression of love and faith. Faith pleases God (Hebrews 11:6), and obedience brings joy. As we follow Christ, we put away the deeds of the flesh and clothe ourselves in His righteousness.
The promises of God are released to those who walk in faith and obedience. The narrow path is not easy, but it is the way to abundant life.
The Promise Released
God’s Word never returns void. His promises are sure. Just as food nourishes the body after a satisfying meal, obedience to God releases His blessings into every area of life.
“If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.” (Isaiah 1:19, KJV)
Faith and obedience unlock the abundance of God—His favor, peace, joy, healing, and provision. This is what we call Abundant Streams—the outpouring of God’s goodness upon His people.
The Call to Holiness
The church belongs to Jesus Christ—He builds it, He sustains it, and He purifies it. As believers, we are rooted in Him, set apart by His name, and called to walk in His ways. By faith in His finished work on the cross, we are no longer who we once were. We are new creatures in Him. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Holiness is not about striving in our own strength—it is the work of Christ in us. As we yield to Him, His life is revealed through us. “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me.” (Galatians 2:20) Holiness is not an unreachable goal; it is our calling. It is a life of worship, a life that reflects His nature, a life that pleases the Lord.
God is calling His church higher. He is calling us to hunger for Him, to pursue Him, to walk in the holiness that only He can give. “As he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.” (1 Peter 1:15-16)
This is the truth God has been impressing on my heart for years, and I fully embrace it—He has called us to holiness. This is not about legalism or empty religion; this is about knowing Him, loving Him, and being transformed by Him. May we answer the call.
Final Encouragement
Brethren, may this word be a blessing to you. Walk in faith and obedience. Be holy as He is holy. Seek Him, hunger for Him, and He will fill you.
