From Shadows to Light: Embracing God’s Calling
The journey of blogging began with a simple yet profound desire: to witness for Christ and spread His fame. Abundant Streams Ministry was launched with the hope of igniting a longing in hearts to know God and experience His transformative power. As you pursue God through His Word, you will not only deepen your relationship with Him but also discover your true identity in Christ. This journey—fueled by love and obedience—fulfills Jesus’ call: “If you love me, keep my commandments” (John 14:15).
At Abundant Streams, our mission is summed up in the statement: “Living by the Word of God.” As you align your life with God’s Word, you align with His perfect will, stepping into the abundant life Jesus promised: “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10).
A Life Rooted in God’s Love and Word
God’s abundant life isn’t just about eternal salvation; it’s about thriving here on earth. He desires for you to prosper in your health, soul, and every area of your life (3 John 1:2). His mercy, love, and grace are limitless, supporting you in every good work He’s assigned you. You are created to reflect God’s image and likeness, glorifying Him through your actions and love.
As we experience God’s love, we are called to express it through obedience: “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves” (James 1:22). When we obey God’s Word, His promises are released in our lives, and His light shines brightly through us, drawing others to Him: “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).
The Journey of Faith and Obedience
The path to fulfilling God’s purpose isn’t without challenges. Fear, distractions, and discouragement often attempt to derail us. Yet, as the Word of God assures us: “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way” (Psalm 37:23). Each step of obedience brings us closer to God’s divine plan, even when the way isn’t clear.
I’ve experienced seasons of fear and doubt, but God’s Word has been my anchor. Through the scriptures, He has guided me, instructed me, and realigned me. One pivotal moment came when the Lord impressed upon me that He speaks through His Word. This truth propelled me forward, overcoming every obstacle by faith.
Now, it’s your turn. Engage with the Word of God. Let it transform your heart, mind, and soul. Trust in His guidance, and know that His thoughts and ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9).
A Call to Step Out of the Shadows
For years, I worked behind the scenes, content with my quiet role in ministry. But God’s call to step out of the shadows was unmistakable. His desire is for each of us to shine like a city on a hill (Matthew 5:14). He will place your candle on a stand so that it gives light to all in the room.
As believers, we are part of a strong kingdom ruled by Almighty God, and we are called to advance His work on earth. The kingdom of God is a force that changes lives and claims territories for His glory.
Encouragement for Your Journey
Your journey with God may include seasons of uncertainty, but He is faithful to complete the good work He began in you (Philippians 1:6). Like Moses meeting Aaron along the way, God will align you with the people and resources needed to fulfill His vision. The Church will listen to the Word of God in you, and you will find favor with both God and men.
Even when others cannot see the vision God has given you, stay faithful. Trust that God’s plan will unfold in His perfect timing, and those who are meant to support you will come alongside you. The enemies and obstacles you face will not prevail because God’s Word assures victory: “No weapon formed against you shall prosper” (Isaiah 54:17).
